EEG: A precise examination of brain activity to detect hidden disorders
When symptoms are present but the cause is unclear, an EEG can help find the answer

Diagnostics
An EEG is a method for measuring the brain’s electrical activity, which allows for the assessment of its functional state in real time.
Unlike MRI or CT scans, an EEG shows not the structure but the functioning of the brain (the function of the cerebral cortex). That is why this test is crucial in conditions where functional diagnosis is important—for example, in cases of seizures, impaired consciousness, or behavioral changes.
Important!!! A brain MRI may show no pathology, yet brain function may still be impaired. In such cases, an EEG examination is helpful.
At the Bersenev Medical Center, EEG results are always interpreted in the context of the patient’s symptoms, which significantly enhances the value of the findings.
What do we assess using an EEG?
