Cognitive Evoked Potentials (CEP): Assessing Brain Activity Over Time
When symptoms are present but standard tests do not provide a complete answer

Diagnostics
Cognitive evoked potentials are a modern neurophysiological research method that allows us to assess how the brain processes information while performing tasks.
Unlike a standard EEG, which records activity at rest, ERP measures the brain’s functional response: stimulus perception, attention, and memory engagement.
For a more detailed overview of functional diagnostics, see the article “Evoked Potentials: An Objective Assessment of the Nervous System.”
What do we measure using KVP?
The study makes it possible to assess:
Cognitive Reaction Speed
Quality of Analysis and Information Processing
Attention Span and Stability
How RAM Works
Main Indications (KVP)
CVDs are recommended in the following cases:
Memory, Attention, and Concentration Problems
A feeling of “brain fog,” decreased mental performance
Suspected neurodegenerative processes
Assessment of the condition following strokes, traumatic brain injury, or neurological infections, including post-COVID
Neurological Disorders in Children, Including ADHD and Developmental Delays
Assessment of the Impact of Stress and Emotional Strain on Cognitive Functions
Why is QES used to supplement a standard EEG?
They allow us to assess brain activity while performing intellectual tasks
They help with the early detection of functional disorders
They help the doctor distinguish between organic and functional changes as part of a comprehensive examination
