Невропатія трійчастого нерва найчастіше розвивається після стоматологічних процедур, протезування, щелепно-лицьових операцій або травм, а також в результаті переохолодження, перенесених інфекцій, пухлинних процесів.

Серед усіх видів невропатій верхніх кінцівок найпоширенішою є саме невропатія променевого нерва. Невропатія може виникнути після глибокого сну, якщо людина спала на твердій поверхні, поклавши при цьому руку під голову.

Невропатія ліктьового нерва проявляється в порушенні його функції в результаті компресії нервового стовбура у вузьких кістково-м’язових каналах в області ліктьового суглоба і на кисті або ж в результаті травми (розтягнення, надрив ліктьового нерва) при вивихах і підвивихах в ліктьовому суглобі. Невропатія, що виникла при здавлюванні нерва в кубітальному каналі, відома ще під назвою «синдром кубітального каналу».

Невропатія серединного нерва – це ураження серединного нерва, що проявляється виникненням чутливих і рухових розладів у зоні його іннервації (в 1, 2 і 3 пальцях рук).
